Description: Zach was a loyal, loving dog who was protective of his human and dog family, but was also kind and gentle. He lost his sister to cancer in July, 2009, and he missed her very much. Even though they were together since birth and were adopted together from the SPCA, having his human and dog family with him all the time helped him deal with her loss. Zach had a huge capacity to love. When his sister was sick with cancer, he stayed right by her side until the end. Zach suffered a massive autoimmune attack in September, 2009. He fought bravely and maintained his cheerful and loyal disposition until November 21, 2009, when he finally succumbed to the autoimmune disorder and passed away in his sleep.

Favorite Activities: Sleeping, eating, Sitting on the couch and hanging out with his human family, Curling up on a quilt and sleeping with his dog family, watching the dogs on Animal Planet, and playing tug of war with a tube sock.

Favorite Toys: tube socks

Favorite Foods: Kibbles and Bits, bread with butter, cheese, beef, chicken, pizza crust

Tricks: He sat on the couch like a human. He would put his hind end and rear legs up on the couch and support his front end with his two front legs, which would be firmly planted on the floor.
