This book teaches you to accomplish precisely what the title says.   We smiled in recognition of the truth where, on the opening page, the author explains the ABC’s of “pack” behavior.   “If no family member takes the controlling position,” she writes, “the dog will dominate, and you will end up with a spoiled beast that will be difficult, if not impossible, to housetrain.”   The cover copy says that the method is foolproof; nonetheless, here’s hoping your dog is no fool.  The text is easy-to-read, no-nonsense, and, in our estimation, the housebreaking method described in it will work, if not in only seven days for all dogs.   Still, housebreaking a dog in just two weeks by using this method is a lot better than waiting for St. Swithin’s Day for him to be housebroken by no method at all or by some inferior method.
