Seizures due to old age

Food and Nutrition, Senior Dog Care

Is there anyone who has had their dog seizure as they are getting older? Jazzy had an episode a couple of months ago with six seizures within two weeks. We thought it was due to being on steroids for her skin for many years. We stopped giving her the steroids, and try to give her more natural stuff. (We have stopped before, but her skin gets so bad.) Last night she had another seizure. It is questionable if it is seizures, but it looks like one. She falls down on the ground, like some force is throwing her on the ground. Her back muscles cramp up and and and she lays on the ground for about 15-20 seconds. She looks really freaked out after, and just wants to cuddle. 2-5 minutes after that she is back to normal and she looks like she is in no pain, or that she remembers it. She is now 13 years old going on 14. We have talked to friends that are doctors, and they say it is really common that dogs gets seizures as they get older. Is there anyone else that has experienced this? Please let me know what your thoughts are.
