Please could you give me tips on what to do when the dog has Colitis - nutritional tips etc. Thanks.

I have been to the vet already and my dog has been diagnosed with colitis. He had one week of antibiotics which did not cure it. Now he had a week of probiotic and I have put him on chicken with rice - both boiled. Also he eats carrots and green beans. And some probiotic yogurt. I do not give him anything else to eat. He also has a DAP collar now for a week as I think his colitis might be caused by separation anxiety. He gets lots of good long walks and care and is hardly ever left on his own. So what else could I do?

When I had asked the question about the anal gland removal,on my male chihuahua, he is urinary incontinent, not bowel incontinent. The vet doesn't seem to know why this had happened. I tried the proin RX 25mg, but it didn't seem to work. HELP!!!
