how do you get your border collie to stop steling chicken eggs out of the chicken coop

My dog buddy is getting realy fat. And each morning we find a hollowed out chicken shell in his kennal we have tried locking the door so only the chickens can get in the coop but still we are finding shells all over in his kennel.but now we are starting to think he is sleeoing with the eggs and then eating them for brekfast in the morning what do you think we should do
