First, are you sure that the yellowish stuff came from her bowels? Or could it be from her urinary tract or vaginal tract? Either way, a trip to the vet is certainly in order to have her checked out. If it came from her rectum/bowels, then a parasite infection is certainly possible...most worms will move a little when they are passed, but usually stop moving within a few minutes, but some parasites are too small to be seen with the naked eye. Is she having diarrhea? Vomiting? Loss of appetite? Changes in how much she is drinking or urinating?
You mentioned she wan't acting right, so again, a trip to the vet is definitely called for! Her change in behavior is likely a signal that she is not feeling well, and could be an early warning sign of serious illness. Vaginal infections are fairly common in young female dogs, and can cause a purulent discharge. Urinary tract infections can also cause changes in the appearance of the urine, including sometimes looking like pus if severe.
The discharge could also have come from her anal glands...but this usually smells so bad, there is no mistaking this! So if the stuff you found didn't stink up the room, it's probably not this.
Hope this helps! Let us know what your vet finds...
