For an idea, go to our breed page: http://www.dogasaur.com/breed-info/. We have about 470 on our list at last count, and invite our members to give us the names of breeds that we've inadvertently left out. This is going to be the master of all breed lists!
According to The American Kennel Club there are over 300 breeds. Of course The AKC does not recognize all breeds.
But...DOODLES, PugGLES, and all those are NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT breeds, they are expensive Mutts created by puppymillers.
Right. Which is why you won't find them in the breed list. Not ALL from puppy mills, but the expensive Mutt part...perhaps! However, even though you won't find a Goldendoodle or a Pugpoo in the breed list, owners of those types of dogs can still create profiles here.
Our breed list also includes dogs from the UKC, and rare breeds.
